How are the 03'boys doing in the Prime Time League?

Post by urahater on 9/20/2012, 9:13 am

How are the 03 boyz doing in PrimeTimeLeague(PTL)? PTL has not posted the scores and nobody is talking about the 03's.

Bring up a girls team playing boys. Guaranteed at least 3 pages of responses.

Looks like this weekend will be a good weekend for soccer match ups. Solar Castro vs SRSA girls.

Solar Castro will run circles around those little pig tailed wonders. Very Happy

However, I am not an 03 parent, so take the smack talk with a sense of humor. I have not seen the SRSA Girls (sounds like a futuristic team of cyborgs) play, but you can't glimpse at the girl's forum without reading about their greatness and dominance. Unfortunately, I think they run into a brick wall this weekend.

I reserve the right to never post in the 03's again should SRSA stomp Castro this weekend. cheers

I doubt anybody stomps anybody. I think we play right after so will watch some of that one. My $ is on Solar. Very Happy

To the OP, Primetime seems to be going ok. We have teams in both of their 11v11 boys leagues and all the games have been competitive. The quality of play in the Sting league is a good bit higher, but nobody has this figured out yet.

Tyler Durden can now go all Project Mayhem on me....

I believe girlsdad will disappear after this weekend. Never to be heard from again.

That is doubtful. Win or lose, the girls will get exactly what they are looking for... Competition. These girls have not seen a loss to their own age in well over a year. They may get their taste of it, but it will be good for them.

Um...good one? drunken

Personally think playing girls will be interesting. Though, as many have pointed out, most boys have been raised to treat girls differently so not sure they will play normally. In BB's case, that means he was raised with Eazy-E on the top o the list, and if things go poorly he may reach back like a pimp. Homie scored a goal, gonna fly, punk a$$ fly. afro

Or more likely he will be worried about cooties and they will all be spending too much time laughing at teammates when they get knocked down or schooled.

I just looked at the scores in PTL website. I don't know if i can judge much from it. Can't tell which one has been the strongest match yet. I wonder which match will be the best out of all of these teams?

The SRSA girls haven't lost in over a year? I thought they finished second in the Silver division of the Primetime Tourney a few weeks ago...not exactly sure, but I thought that was the result.

I paid a ton of money to rid the world of all those pictures. I guess with this new internet age you can never really get rid of everything. Like i said then: " The water was COLD!"

Shrug.. At one point I think BBs team didn't lose in well over a year. And didn't give up a goal for like 15 matches. I doubt anyone realized or cares and I sometimes forget to casually bring it up in conversation. But it happened, at least until someone proves otherwise. Either way, we are all still very impressed with ourselves. Everytime a current U7-U8 team loses their first game of the year all of us dads get together and break open a bottle of champagne with Don Shula.

Very Happy

At the end of the day I couldn't care less about SRSA (I am sure they are an outstanding collection of young girls)...I was only seeking clarification from girlsdad. SRSA parents were talking a lot of noise on this board up until they lost, then they disappeared. I wish them lots of luck against Castro "A" and Odyssey.

You are correct that they lost a close game in the PLD tourney to boys, which I'd guess the poster is aware of. Its entirely possible they are applying the Cruz Azul corollary and not considering Houstonians to be in their age group. Or maybe the "and same gender" part was implied. They seem to be a lot better than the girls their age.

Odyssey is taking a pass on playing SRSA. We are petitioning to play in the girl's Sting league that weekend instead. They will have to get their fill vs Castro and Thornber.

Saw these girls play in UAL Sunday against LP Paisley where they won 4-2. They play good ball. Seems the refs "preferred" the girls on some calls, but overall a good game. I think they can play with any of the top boys teams and be competitive. I also think Castro will make their defense earn a paycheck on Saturday.

My bad... I did mis-quote. SRSA has not lost to an '03 girls team in over a year.
