Dallas Roma Developmental Player Program

Post by Dallas Roma FC on 6/8/2016, 11:23 am

If you are hesitant to sign with a select team on July 1, why not consider joining the Developmental Player Program available thru Dallas Roma FC?

1. Does not require a year long commitment - players may exit the program at any time.
2. Players receive the same training as our top competitive team players, and are part of the same "squad".
3. Program costs are about $1000 per year less...as there are no league fees or uniforms required.
4. Players are free to guest play in tournaments with ANY team at ANY time (including Dallas Roma).
5. Players may sign with another club at ANY time (again we do not require a contract to train with us)

So why take the risk of rushing to sign with a team that may have your player riding the bench or receiving training that is not at the level that your requires?  Don't take the chance of being held hostage.  Attend one of our open practices in East Plano at our private facility located 900 Stewart Avenue next to the big water tower.  For more info call Coach Michael Schell @ 214-244-3172.

*Note* Because the squad size for each age group is limited, participation in program may be limited.

Very innovative approach. Will these kids play in any league or that part is left to the parents to find for themselves and it is just for getting training?

In the past, players typically have had opportunities to play in tournaments as a guest of the competitive Dallas Roma team they train with, and in off-season indoor leagues during the holidays.  They may also on their own search for and find a non-Dallas Roma team playing in a non-sanctioned league that does not require a competitive NTX contract.  This could include a recreational team, futsal league, indoor league etc.

If they do sign a competitive NTX contract with a club, that club may not let them continue their training with us, although they are certainly welcome to with the proper signed release.

The Developmental Player Program is also a good option for multi-sport athletes that want to try other sports, but not loose any of the soccer skills they have worked so hard to build as young players. There are no games on weekends for them and if they miss a practice, its not a big deal. They can likely get a make-up on a different night with a younger/older squad, or even attend weekly skills or goalie training offered as part of the program.
