Fanofson, you're 100% correct... The Ft. Worth area has a couple locations that put Richland to shame by pitch and by parking...

I thought maintenance fee was $750 per team and not $1800.

Anyhow, we're WAY off track from the original post...  SORRY for diluting it with suggestions that could improve things (in my opinion)...  I don't have to write the checks these days, so I am going by past experience...  (and paying the huge jump in fees was a SHOCKING experience) Being a ref OR a coach is a thankless job, and we all know that from the start...   Anyhow, I just think Richland is sub-standard complex for what I feel is the #1 youth league in the country...  I happen to like the Refs in CCSAI...   That being said,  Richland isn't worth a $100 field maintenance fee, and if you are forced to play on the far fields, the fees should be waived for the trouble...

Something kinda amusing:
Usually a captain will ask "coach, do we want the wind the first half or the second half?"... At Richland they don't always ask about the wind... It is more like:
"Do we go up hill first half, or second half?"
(of course not on every field)

just my 2 cents on the Richland fields. My BB played out there last night on field 1 and it was in great shape and the grass was actually cut like it should be. I agree 11-13 should be shut down or completely redone.

Odie, agree. Not sure this is the correct thread, but I do agree the Richland fields up front are better than ever. After playing at Moneygram today....they still have a good ways to go. Let's see what happens in the Winter/Spring when the Bermuda is dormant and the Dallas Cup is around corner....
