While we await in anticipation...here's my bracket prediction, solely based on final league standings, giving top seedings to the CL teams then API/PPL..

Bracket A
1.Juventus *
7. Texas Lightning *
18. Titans
24. FCD Central White

Bracket B
2. Liverpool St John *
8. NTX Strikers *
17. Dallas Tigres
23. FCD West

Bracket C
3. Andromeda *
9. DFW Tejanos * (WC)
16. Meja Romero *
22. TX Xtreme

Bracket D
4. FC Premier *
10. FC Nacional Chivas * (WC)
15. Liverpool Callaghan *
21. Liverpool Keegan

Bracket E
5. DT Red Badii *
11. AFC * (WC)
14. Midland Chivas *
20. TASC Eagles

Bracket F
6. FCD Central Waters * (WC)
12. DT Red South *
13. Real GP *
19. Fusion

Top 2 of each bracket advance with maybe 4 wildcards..taking 16 to 2nd weekend with 4 brackets of 4 and taking the top 2 from each bracket to fill the 8 spots...
asterisk denotes my prediction for the 16 teams to advance...

If somebody has the time, please decipher the seeding...  Know it is alphabetical in the brackets, but is there a method to the madness? Not really important, but just curious as to how they seeded Arlington and Plano teams... Looks like Classic teams seeded first based on group results... Did they give more love to APL or PPL after Classic?

Several interesting brackets. Bracket A looks tough. Interesting there are only 3 LP teams and two are matched up in Div B. Looks like a great way to spend lunchtime on Memorial Day though..... Good luck to all of the teams.

Why is bracket A tough? You have FC Dallas Central White who was placed 19th in PPL1. Dallas Texans Red South in 4th of APL, and Real GP 5th in APL. Juventus is over rated. Yes they are top seed but I've seen them play and not impressed. Wouldn't be surprised if they didn't make it out of the first round. Regardless don't really see it as a tough group!

I saw THIS FCD team play Saturday and win a tourney... Waters is a solid coach, and they played very well.. Very solid team, and beat a D1 Classic team in the final... Maybe you saw Jueventus once, but have you played them? Not sure where you play, but doubt you know all of the teams, just like I don't... Know Real GP and have seen DT Red recently as well... Know this Waters team, and do not think they should be overlooked... Your opinion is just as good as mine, but out of curiosity, who do you think is good if Juventus is overrated? I tend to think that all of these teams can step up at any given moment, but rarely does a team get lucky every week... Records are our report cards, and to be quite honest, I think the group of death is group A... (based on RECENT games and recent personal experience) Then again, that is just my opinion... Care to mention who your team is? It doesn't matter what group you're in if you take care of business, so no worries... I'm just curious as to who could be so critical and why would they be? Must be a mammoth team or delusional... All 3 leagues are good... Anybody can win... Anyhow, good luck to you and your team... Please enlighten me as to who should be so critical so that I can understand...

So they came out with the format for this weekend...if you win your bracket, you get in to Classic and don't have to come back. 2nd place teams (6 teams) go back 2nd weekend and do a crossover bracket and top 2 teams get the final two spots...should be interesting!!

from the looks of it, I would say bracket B is the toughest division.

From the CCSAI website: U11B
8 teams needed
1st weekend - 6 bracket winners advance to league
2nd weekend - six 2nd place teams from 1st weekend placed into 2 brackets - 2 bracket winners advance to league

my 6 bracket winners are:
Juventus
Liverpool St. John
Andromeda
FC Premier
DT Red
NT Strikers

2 from the second weekend will be AFC and DFW Tejanos

I didn't see that coming. Interesting set up.

Hannallone I don't know much about DT Red or Real but have played jeventus twice. You are entitled to your opinion as well. Although the result is not what we wanted, we were up 2-0 in one game and 3-0 in the other at halftime. It should definitely be an interesting weekend. I will say that results being used as a scorecard could be very misleading. Anyhow my team is FC Premier!

Windy n wet game 1st match, windy second one... Nail Biters!!! I endorsed your squad as one of the better teams a while back and as recent as last week... I speak highly of Forzi because I really think we had good matches and because I have respect for the man... Good luck to you guys in the tourney... I hope we can meet again in Classic League... (both teams deserving in my opinion, but what do I know?)

Here's how I think they seeded everyone

Bracket A
1. Juventus
12. DT red south
13. Real gp
24. FCD central white

Bracket B
2. Lfc St. John
11. AFC
15. LP Callaghan
23. FCD west

Bracket c
3. Andromeda
10. FC national Chivas
16. Meja Romero
22. Texas xtreme

Bracket D
4. FC premier
7. Texas lightning
14. Midland Chivas
21. LP Keegan

Bracket E
5. DT red Badii
9. DFW tejanos
17. Dallas Tigres
20. Tasc eagles

Bracket F
6. FCD central white
8. NTX strikers
18. Titans
19. Fusion FC

Looks like they moved up and down the bracket with one oddball in there. They had to throw Texas lightning in with a bracket that had another CL team so they went with the 4 seed bracket. Then they started at the bottom and threw 14 and 21 in that one to make it as balanced as possible. These were par to my seeding predictions yesterday, just wrong brackets for the some of the lower seeded teams. I think brackets A and D are both tough. But some inconsistencies out of all these teams from CL qualifying tourney in August to now is the reason we're in this tourney. Whoever shows up to play next weekend will be the "it" team. FC premier tied Waco texans in a tourney 3-3 this past weekend but we beat Waco 3-0 earlier in the season with only 11 players. Doesn't necessarily determine the outcome of our matchup this weekend. We'll see which group of 10-11 yr old (12-13 depending on what bracket your in and rumors you here) decides to show up! See you at the pitch!

Thanks soccerdad!  Looking through I see what you are saying.  They went 1-6, reversed back up 7-12, 13-18 down, then 19-24 back up.  When you look at it that way, it lines out perfectly.  Pretty simple.  It looks like how they ranked APL vs PPL was the only real wildcard, along with moving the APL and PPL winners ahead of Lightning.

Any other predictions?  I like the format for the weekend.  6 winners advancing just makes since, but still giving the 2's another shot.

I watched the #24 seed on Saturday...  Have no clue how that team finished 19th in PPL...  The team I saw could have played in Classic D2 last season and easily held their own...  I have seen some of the bottom tier PPL teams and APL teams lately, and none of them look anything like the FCD Central White team did...  They control the ball very well, have great tech and tact, and were really fun to watch move the ball...  I was there as a spectator, but as it turns out it was an accidental scouting trip...  Take a look at the recent record of that team...  How did they do so poorly in PPL?  I openly endorse Waters as a great coach, and the team that won the tourney was well prepared to play at the next level...  Here is the link to the tourney:

I agree from what I have witnessed Jon Waters is a good coach. We played against them back in January and they played us just as hard as Ayses Gold and Toshack did that same weekend. I wonder if they added any players midyear or how many club players they are taking to some of the recent tournaments though.

Not sure, but I think that the bracket is very solid if that was his team that will play in the challenge tourney... His team and parents are a class act, so it will be fun either way... We always want a challenge, and it appears that is exactly what we will get...

My BB has played them twice in tourneys recently. Guesting with Andromeda in the President's Cup and then with his team on Saturday. I am pretty certain they brought in guest players for both compared to what I saw them play with in PPL. I am not a 100% certain on that but believe that is the case. No guest players for this weekend but they could have easily added them to the roster before April 15th. good luck to them and every team out there this weekend.

Let's hope for no major injuries.
